DU receives added recognition for being a good college for veterans
The ֱ has once again been recognized byas one of the top 100 institutions of higher education in the country. The University is ranked 86on the magazine’s list of national universities. The rankings are based on several criteria: faculty resources, student retention, graduation rate and financial resources, to name a few.
DU Chancellorsays being recognized as one of the top 100 in the nation reflects the University’s “ongoing commitment to providing all of our students with a holistic education that prepares them to be ethical, inclusive and innovative leaders and problem solvers.”
The ֱ also ranks 53rd on the list for “Best Colleges for Veterans.” This comes as DU has beefed up its programs and opportunities directed at veterans and military personnel.is providing the Right Foot Forward program, pairing student veterans with businesspeople in industries they’re interested in. Meanwhile, thehas started the, providing legal advice and services for veterans. And the(GSPP) has started theSturm Specialty in Military Psychology, an education track that will help create more knowledgeable and skilled mental health care providers for veterans. GSPP also operates theSturm Center, a mental health clinic for veterans, service members and their families.
“It is a tremendous honor, and the University is continuing to improve services and support for veteran students, including the addition of several new programs thanks to donations from the Sturm Family Foundation,” Chopp says.
U.S. News and World Report also recognized DU's(MCE), home of the(ELPS). The graduate school ranks20th for Educational Administration and Supervision.“Our systems of support and coursework embedded in school and district contexts prepares transformative leaders who positively affect the educational outcomes for all students," says, ELPS department chair.Institutions of higher education across the country have consulted with ELPS to redesign their programs and to build partnerships with schools and districts.
Also earning recognition by U.S. News and World Report isthe. The undergraduate program claims the 94th spot for “Best Business Program.”
